OK, I admit the title of this post is a bit misleading.  The SQL Server 2005 Express edition will be free.  The other versions are going to cost you $$$. 
The important thing, from my perspective, is that Microsoft has started to reveal prices for products that are being released later this year.

Warning - MSDN Office DVD missing Cab File

I tried to set up a test machine today.  During the install of Office 2003 the install stated that it couldn’t find file yh561403.cab.  Sure enough, it’s not on my dvd.  Check an older version of the DVD and it installed correctly.  Lucky I keep a backup set of the DVDs.

Try to pin down a price for VSTS from a Microsoft employee is impossible.  The latest news is that a firm price will be announced in March 2005.
